Throughout the evening, a variety of choral arrangements will be performed by six (6) choirs and praise teams from the Calvert City, Clinton First, Fountain Avenue, Fulton First, Mayfield First, and Trinity United Methodist Churches, as well as, a combined Mass Choir under the direction of Mr. Josh Gatlin, choir director of Fulton First UMC. Also performing with the Mass Choir will be individuals from the Cayce, Crutchfield, Wingo-St. Paul, Symsonia, Lebanon, South Pleasant Grove, Mt. Olive, New Liberty, Arcadia, Massac, and Hazel United Methodist Churches.

Donations will be accepted through a love offering with ALL proceeds benefiting the many ministries of Reelfoot Rural Ministries located in Obion, Tenn - a ministry of the Memphis Conference of The United Methodist Church. Sunday, April 9 is designated as a district-wide ‘special offering’ Sunday for local United Methodist Churches. Those giving to the special offering should make checks payable to their local church and write “Reelfoot Rural Ministries” in the memo line. Then, each local church is asked to write one check made payable to Purchase District UMC and write “Reelfoot Rural Ministries” in the memo line and bring it to Choir Fest for the offering. After Choir Fest, the district will then write one check to Reelfoot.

At the 2016 event, a mass choir of approximately 120 voices from six (6) United Methodist Churches gathered for the district’s 9th annual Choir Fest with proceeds totaling $3,485.00 and benefiting Reelfoot Rural Ministries.

Mark your calendars now to attend Choir Fest on April 23rd at Fulton First UMC. Refreshments will follow the performance. All are invited!
