Come out to enjoy an evening of worship through music with a Mass Choir consisting of approximately 130 voices at Reidland United Methodist Church in Reidland (Paducah), Kentucky on Sunday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. The Purchase District of United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the 9th Annual Choir Fest (formerly Paducah District ‘Music Fest’), featuring 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord), arranged by Lloyd Larson, and For the Beauty of the Earth, arranged by John Rutter. A variety of choral arrangements will be performed by six (6) choirs and praise teams from Calvert City UMC, Concord UMC, Fulton First UMC, Lone Oak UMC, Reidland UMC, and Trinity UMC (McCracken) as well as a combined Mass Choir under the direction of Jane Dyson of Reidland, Ky. Also performing with the Mass Choir will be individuals from Clinton First UMC, Lynn Grove UMC, Mason’s Chapel UMC, Massac UMC, Owens Chapel UMC, Pryorsburg UMC, South Pleasant Grove UMC, and Spence Chapel UMC.
Donations will be accepted through a love offering, with ALL proceeds benefiting the many ministries of Reelfoot Rural Ministries (RRM), located in Obion, Tenn. Robert Craig, director of RRM, will be the guest speaker. Refreshments will follow the performance. All are invited!

The Mass Choir will practice on March 20th at 3:30 p.m. at Reidland UMC. Participants are to rehearse both song selections before March 20th and come to practice prepared. Individual participants can contact any of the participating church choirs to practice with them (click on church names above for contact information). After practice, the generous members at Reidland UMC will serve refreshments before the program begins at 6:00 p.m.
