An informational meeting will be held for men (both clergy and laymen) who would explore the idea that God is calling men to prison to minister to inmates/brothers at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville Kentucky. The meeting will be led by Mr. Rick Rosa and is scheduled to be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016, 6:30 p.m. at Calvert City United Methodist Church (UMC).

Rev. Gregory Waldrop, pastor of Calvert City UMC, invites you to the informational meeting to hear how Kairos Prison Ministry (similar to the Walk to Emmaus) works and how clergy and laymen in the Purchase District can serve as God’s instrument through which His love, grace and mercy are expressed to the participants/guests in a real and profound way. In the words of Rev. Waldrop, “Come allow God to call you past your comfort zone as Jesus' follower”.

Although the Kentucky State Penitentiary is an adult male prison, women can take part in the ministry by serving on the support team.
