Earn up to 4 study hours credit!

Participants are strongly encouraged to prepare for the mission study by reading the book prior to attending the event. Books can be purchased online at www.umwmissionresources.org or at the Conference Mission u event July 20-21. Books will also be available for purchase at the district event on August 4 while supplies last.

About the Study Leader

Sandra and her husband Allen Burnett are proud of their two children and three grandchildren. She is a member of Lone Oak United Methodist Church (UMC) and their local unit of United Methodist Women (UMW). In her many years in UMW she has held several offices in the local unit including president. At the district level she served as Financial Interpretation, Global Concerns, Treasurer, President and is the current district Parliamentarian. At the conference level she served as Financial Interpretation, Spiritual Growth, Parliamentarian and President. She taught in the Memphis Conference UMW Christian Mission Education Event (former name of Mission u) three times. During her years of service in the church she served eight years as Memphis Conference UMC Lay Leader. She has represented the Memphis Conference four times as a delegate to General Conference and once as an alternate. She has been on six Volunteers in Mission work teams including Reelfoot Rural Ministry, Red Bird Mission, Henderson Settlement, and UMCOR Depot at Sager Brown. Involvement in and support of mission is a passion of Sandra’s.
