Rev. Dr. Ben F. Boone became interim District Superintendent in July 2020. He was serving Lone Oak United Methodist Church for 8 years before retiring in 2014 from full-time ministry. Following retirement, he served part-time at Arcadia, Reidland, and Grace (Ballard County). He holds a BS in Sociology from Lambuth College, a M.Div and D.Min from Candler School of Theology. His previous appointments include: Union City First Associate Minister, Munford, Georgian Hills, Murray State Campus Ministry, Arlington (Shelby County), Benton First, Paris First, and Jackson District Superintendent.
Dr. Boone has served as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. He has been elected as a delegate to General and Jurisdictional Conferences and served on the General Commission for Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns. He was a participant in the Academy for Spiritual Formation #34 and a trained Stephen Ministry leader. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Paducah Cooperative Ministry and the Paducah Abrahamic Council.
Ben and his spouse, Ann, live in Paducah. They have 2 adult children and 7 grandchildren.
